It's completely gone. Cannot create the disk '/users/.../Boot Camp.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. Sound great? You can't do snapshots either.

Update I re-enabled the boot recovery partition in OSX then tried rebooting into it so I can attempt disable "System Integrity Protection". If you don't understand how to do all of this then of course you'll have to learn by following the directions given during the process.
