Let the run-around begin At first, all I thought I had to do was a quick Google search for BIDS or SSRS and simply download it for Visual Studio 2010. I'm thinking maybe it's a configuration in the user profile? We are using the BIDS suite that comes with SQL Server. So I downloaded it and ran the setup wizard. What is the common, normally open, normally closed?
I now cannot start a server based reporting project. Oh noes! (If it was, I wouldn't write this blog…) I opened a solution containing an .rptproj file, and received the error message ‘name.rptproj' cannot be opened because its project type (.rptproj)
