If you are using IE 7 you will need to click on Tools, then Menu bar to see the View menu item. Hit refresh, if it's a page load / document ready handler or take the user action needed, Visual studio will be sure to stop on the debug point. To be clear, go to the asp.net project in your solution and go to the project properties and open the Web tab.
