Thanks! While using the NAT adapter settings in Vmware and turning off windows firewall I was able to ping other guest machines in my test environment. I can connect to the internet from inside the VM I can ping my router from inside the VM I can ping other machines on my network from inside the VM The desktop box is connected to my LAN via wireless adapter. http://ibuildsystem.com/cannot-ping/vmware-cannot-ping-guest-from-host.php
