April 18, 2010 Jim Elderone, Had the same problem…try this the solution was to 1 right click on the folder that cannot be accessed and choose properties SHARING>SHARE>CHANGE SHARING PERMISSIONS 2 i have the user files on the d drive on the server, and i have "UserFiles" folder set to share across the network.... Windows 7 requires that you need to use a different User name on those machines. More about the author I used other account (proven OK in others laptop) in Win 7, still not working.
I have two share folder in the desktop using Windows Vista HP 32 bit, Share A is set to Full Control for Everyone and Share B has a permission access setting, They have inherited permissions overiding any files default!
